My Story

Time flies… I am excited to be taking part in my FOURTH Great Cycle Challenge to help fight kids' cancer! I'm riding for my son and all the other kids and families that have fought, are fighting, and will fight pediatric cancer. Over the last 3 years YOU helped me raise over $4,300 for this very important cause. I’m very excited to add to that number this year!

It’s hard to believe, but it’s been nearly 10 years since my son Liam was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Thanks to the incredible care of his doctors and nurses, he is alive and doing so well! His tumor cannot be removed, but it has been dormant now for over 9 years. Through it all, he continues to be so strong. Liam is kind, caring, smart, and I’m proud to say he is a captain on his high school gymnastics team. I couldn't be more proud of him - and his sister for all of her love and support that she gives him. Cancer is a battle I wish no one had to face, but I'm grateful for the doctors, nurses, family, and friends that have helped and continue to help children fighting for their lives.

Through this difficult journey, I've learned just how underfunded pediatric cancer research is. Let's do something about it! It’s wonderful that there are charities that help fund medical research and provide emotional and financial assistance to families facing this battle. Please consider donating to this important cause. If people hadn't been generous in the past, Liam might not be here today. If you can't donate yourself, please consider spreading the word to others.
