My daughter was diagnosed with ALL when she was 2 1/2 years old. She succeeded in a remission but relapsed 4 more times over the next 16 years until at 18, she had a bone marrow transplant and has been cancer free for 15 years. Unfortunately, Chatra was re-diagnosed in December of 2018, again in 2023 and is fighting the fight again in 2026. Through many years we witnessed a number of families that fought the good fight and most of them unfortunately lost. We attended more kids funerals than we want to remember. To me, my daughter and all those other kids are the hero's. Not me, I ride now to honor all those that have fought and are still fighting and to honor those who are not with us. I believe, together, we can someday defeat this horrible disease.

My Story

This September, for the tenth year, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
