This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! I am also riding for myself. My cancer journey started 6 years ago. I am on daily cancer drugs, and my tumor and cancer are growing and its gettingt ougher. I had a hard time finishing my goal last year, but thankfully I am here to try achieve my 100 mile goal this year. I have been doing physical therapy to try regain strength to ride this year. This is my 8th year riding the GCC challenge. I just take one day, one month, one year at a time.

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

I am riding in support of my own fight against cancer. My diagnosis is terminal cancer, but my medications have been keeping me going so far, so let's keep up the fight.
