My Story
Every September, my friends and family ask the same question:
You're doing WHAT...again?"
Yep. 200 miles.
Not 20.
Not 50.
Not even 100.
Two. Hundred. Miles.
By now, my bicycle has accepted its fate. My legs have filed several formal complaints. My backside has hired an attorney. And somewhere around mile 150, I usually start negotiating with squirrels for a ride home.
So why on earth would I willingly do this for the 6th year in a row?
Because the kids fighting cancer don't get to tap out when things get hard.
They don't get to skip the tough days, take a shortcut, or say, "I'm done."
If they can face chemotherapy with courage, I can survive a few hours of sore legs, questionable bike shorts, and wondering why I ever thought this was a good idea.
So once again, I'm riding 200 miles for the Great Cycle Challenge to help fund childhood cancer research and support families who need it most.
I'm asking you to join me, not on the bike (unless you're feeling adventurous), but by making a donation.
I'll handle the sweating. You handle the clicking.
Together, we can help save little lives. ❤️🚴
