I'm Riding For

Layila Romanek

About a year ago, this young beautiful girl was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It took some time to find a diagnose at the beginning. But when they did, she was treated aggressively, and she endured so much. Now she is undergoing another round of treatment more difficult than before and it’s taking a toll on her. To keep her encourage as she bravely goes through this treatment, I am riding in her honor. She is a ROCK STAR! She is BEAUTIFUL and COURAGEOUS! We are fighting and rooting for her! She is the Ninja Warrior!!

My Story

I am riding in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer. My goal is to pedal 300 miles...and my challenge starts SEPTEMBER 1ST.

Why am I doing this? Because cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States - 38 kids die every week.

Day 8 - Ride Home

It felt good to ride home from work. But the SADDLE!!! 😂🤭 It’s going to take some time to get used it. Lycra is not a for me anymore. I stopped short of my destination to meet my Handsome guy for dinner at Casa Jimenez in Monrovia. 😋 The waiters were impressed how far I was coming from. 😁 Tomorrow will another opportunity to get more miles!
