I'm Riding For
Sarah

Sarah passed away 11/1/2020. We miss her everyday. It still feels like yesterday. I am not in the best shape and thought about taking this year off But, Sarah had so much hope and wanted solutions for her illness. I am hoping that by raising money for the fight against children's cancer there will be some solutions for children in the future. Sarah went through so much. As a parent you feel helpless because you can't protect them from cancer. To watch her go from a 16 year old with her life ahead of her to a young adult fighting to live that life is daunting. Sarah was full of love for all creatures and people. She relived her story in front of Northwest dignitaries to help raise money to build a family pavilion in Portland. That pavilion now houses not only the Ronald McDonald house but facilitates adults needing to travel to and from Portland for treatment.
My Story
Hello All
This September, I am riding 200 miles again in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
First of all I want all my friends to know how much your support has meant to me. When Sarah was diagnosed we never imagined the support we would receive from so many. We were overwhelmed with the how much Love we received.
I am hesitant to even continue to ask for anything. Obviously this cause is close to my heart and it helps me so much to participate in this challenge that helps families going threw what we went threw. I have raised over over $12,000 in the last 6 challenges. This charity has given over $72 million to, The Children's Cancer research Fund (http://childrenscancer.org)
We received so much from so many and wanted to say thank you. If this is something that you want to support I will appreciate it. If not thank you for reading this and thank you for what you have done for us in the past.
My challenge starts this week.
Right now, cancer is the largest killer of children from disease in the United States - 38 children die every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
Please support my 200 mile challenge by making a donation through my fundraising page:

Thank you.
