{In Memory: Maria Longoria-Lopez AKA Nanny} She was cared for 24/7 by her youngest daughter, Eva - Maria, and by her two grandchildren, Kade and Faith. who loved her with all their hearts. ~ Maria also known as Pita, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021. She was not alone during her passing even though the cancer center had stringent COVID protocols. She was able to spend time with fellow loved ones. ~ Maria had a difficult battle with a rare form of bone marrow cancer (MDS) leukemia, and is finally at rest. Her suffering and battle cry is finally over, but death did not beat her, nor did cancer. For her body always belonged to Jesus Christ and the one God who created the Heavens and the Earth, her true Father. Her death was paced by her own wishes and at her own time in accordance with God and her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a fighter and made an impression with every nurse or doctor she encountered. Her healthcare team gave her a nick name, ‘spicy’. They all called her "A-Hoot’! She will be forever loved and forever remembered. ~ Maria was a Proud Patient Advocate & a Medical Spanish Interpreter for those that needed language access. You will be forever loved & deeply missed by all your family & community. ~ Off to your next journey! ~ Maria said this mantra daily, to the very end, and days before she departed from her earthly vessel: "The blood of Jesus runs through my bones. The blood of Jesus is cancer free. I am cancer free!" ~ Maria's Last Wishes Was For Her Daughter Prune, To Continue Her Biking Adventures, & To Never Stop Riding For Cancer Causes!
