My Story

This September, I’m riding in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids’ cancer for the 6th consecutive year. Over that time, I’ve pedaled 1,568 miles and raised more than $2,380 to help children battling this devastating disease.

My goal this month: 300 miles. So far, I’ve logged 66.8 miles and hope to crush my goal.

Why do I ride? Because cancer is the #1 disease-related killer of children in the U.S. taking the lives of 38 kids every single week. That’s 38 too many.

Children deserve to chase dreams, not chemotherapy schedules. They should be living life, not fighting for it.

  • First real ride

    Today was the first real ride I've gone on since surgery. Everything felt fine except for my seat bones. It takes a lot to get used to sitting on a bike seat for an extended period again. Happy to have gotten a long one in during a slow work day and keep the pedal to the pavement for the kids. Thanks to all those that donated yesterday!

    I am now 1/3 of the way done with my mileage goal.
