My Story

22 Jul 2025

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

This year is my 7th year in taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge, last year I rode over 200 miles and raised over $3600. for Childhood Cancer research. This year so far my goals are to ride 200 miles and raise $4000 So far I have raised over $11,000 over the past 6 years. It's a long way till September, and I will be getting in a lot of riding in the next four months. I am riding for my Mother who went through Breast Cancer, and survived and my sister who is also a Cancer survivor.

Thank you for your support

Well, so this is my 9th year riding in the challenge. I remember when I started, i used to ride a lot more frequently than I do now. Plus, I was a little younger. I have noticed a drop in my riding since covid, I had it and sometimes wondered if it affected me more than I thought. Anyway, since then, I have found it harder to ride but pressed on.

Last year, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and had surgery in October. I have found out I need to rebuild my strength.
