My Story
This September, we are taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So we are raising funds through our challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

14 Sep 2025About 12 years ago we met a family at an outdoor expo in Wisconsin called Canoecopia who lost their daughter to childhood cancer. I never met her but all I needed to see was in her parents eyes and the pictures of Callie at their fund raising booth. I didn’t know what they were raffling off I just knew we needed to support them. I bought an arms length of raffle tickets and after talking to them for another 10 minutes we went on our way. What I took with me was the image of a sweet little girl taken from her parents Jeff and Marcia in the early years of her life. I can’t imagine the heartbreak they felt then and still feel now. I get heartbroken for them every time I think of them…..still. We are riding for Callie this month to help raise funds for children’s cancer research so they can hopefully one day find a cure for children’s cancer. Help us help them and please give generously.

Jesus loves the little children!
11 Sep 2025If you spent any time in Sunday school back in the 70’s and 80’s and even up through the years you’ve probably heard this song. It’s very true! Jesus adores His children and He tells us to take care of them. Sin entered the world and along with that came sickness and suffering. Adults and children alike suffer from illness because we (humans) chose to believe a lie from Satan and disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden. Until we are called into heaven and the new heaven and earth are created and sin and Satan are defeated and thrown into hell we will have to deal with pestilence. God can do great things without our help but often God asks us to do great things with the resources he has entrusted to us. We can’t out give God! He wants us to trust him and generously give both yo the church and to charitable causes. I’ve always found that He is faithful and He blesses us every single time. Childhood cancer is a horrible disease. Let’s contribute together to help find a cure so kids can be kids and not patients!! God bless!!
