I’m 🚴‍♂️for my beautiful daughter. She has had so many tests through the years, and this year we finally received the news “POLYCYTHEMIA” it is a blood cancer/disorder. She has too many red blood cells that don’t hold iron so she is anemic, and has hypoglycemia. She has to get phlebotomy done every 2-3 months to regulate the red blood cells, and take a high dose of iron. She has bruises show up for no reason, has to watch what she eats or drinks if not it makes her sick, and a list of other health issues that go along with this disorder. It is non cancerous as of now, but can turn to cancerous at any time. She is a fighter, always has a great attitude, and It has not stopped her from doing anything. If fact she is going to go to school for Phlebotomy to learn more about this disorder, and how it affects the red blood cells.
