My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week. My oldest son, Nathan, was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma when he was 13 years old. Nathan died a little over a year after his diagnosis.

Kids should be living life, not dying.

I am riding to raise awareness about childhood cancer.

I am riding for Nathan, his brothers, and his dad.

I am riding for kids and their families that are enduring cancer right now.

I am riding for kids that made it to the point where there is no evidence of disease.

I am riding for the families who's child has died as a result of cancer.

I am riding in thanks of those who helped us along this journey, family, friends, doctors, nurses, surgeons, therapists, therapy dogs and their owners, and all of those running support organizations, their employees, their donors and their volunteers, and finally the childhood cancer researchers.

The funds raised through the Great Cycle Challenge support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

No donation is too small from $1, to $14-- the number of years Nathan lived.
