My Story
Why I Ride
This September, I’m taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to end childhood cancer — because kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
When I was in high school, I did a venn diagram activity to explore potential career paths. One circle was labeled passions, and the other abilities. Right in the middle, where the two overlapped, was my calling: nursing. I’ve always had a deep heart for children fighting cancer, and I knew I wanted to use my skills to help make a difference in their lives.
While I didn’t end up working in pediatric oncology, that passion has never left me. Supporting the Great Cycle Challenge is my way of continuing to fight for these brave kids — to honor those we’ve lost, and stand with those still in the fight. Every mile I ride this September will be for them.
Please consider supporting my ride and helping fund life-saving research to find safer, more effective treatments — and ultimately, cures for all childhood cancers.
Thank you!
