My Story

This September the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer is happening again. THIS is my 7th year.

I'm riding for Anna. Anna was born while her parents were living in the ISCA house as house leaders. Her first home was the ISCA house. Anna is amazing as she fights cancer in her body since she was very young, after many years of cancer treatments and trials she has clear scans right now!. She is fighting strong. But there us still much more to happen. The biking we do raising money for the trials that appear to be helping Anna and many other kids.

You would be amazed at Anna's artwork and many projects. She is an artist an encourager and a Blessing.

Right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

“Hi Karen - wow thanks for the donation. I've had my best year yet! I ride for Anna (daughter of a friend) and she was 5 0r 6 and she had an aggressive Blastoma type with poor survival rates. She is now 14 and has clear scans! (not out of the woods, but presently is living a normal life). She has received experimental treatments from the group that puts this event on! Never thought she's last this long and now I'm hopeful for a good future. I don't ever raise a lot of money compared to others but still it feels good to be a part of her progress. Thanks for giving to Anna!”
