Vyla Leynes

Vyla was diagnosed with Wilms tumor when she was just four years old. She endured six months of treatment which included chemotherapy and surgeries. The results of such treatments are long-term health issues, some of which have already manifested. The light effects of modern day life-saving treatments for pediatric cancer patients have many terrible consequences. Vyla is currently eight years old and navigating life with one kidney which can look a little different than her peers. Vyla is having a kidney guard made to protect her good kidney as she participates in extracurricular activities. She is also keenly aware of her need to drink excess water and eat a well-balanced diet In addition, Vyla has had critical dental procedures to save her eight molars until her permanent teeth come in which may ultimately be adversely affected by her cancer treatment. She is an amazing little girl full of life thanks to so many people who have helped donate for childhood cancer research. Thank you.

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments

and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
