My Story
Back in 2020, I was dealing with some serious foot & leg pain—one of those things that slows you down physically and mentally. Every step was a reminder that something wasn’t right, and it started to wear on me. But in the middle of that struggle, something happened that shifted my whole perspective.
A young neighbor of mine, son who was battling cancer spoke to me with a few kind and strengthening words that I didn’t expect. Despite everything he had been going through, he looked at me and said not to worry—that the pain wouldn’t last forever.
That moment stuck with me. (Till this day!!)
Here I was focused on my own discomfort, and this kid, facing something far bigger, was the one encouraging me. It humbled me, inspired me, and honestly changed the way I looked at pain and perseverance. That’s when I knew I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself.
Joining the Great Cycle Challenge USA wasn’t just about riding a bike—it was about honoring that strength, that mindset, and doing my part to fight for kids who show more courage in a day than most of us do in a lifetime.
That’s why I decided to ride & raise funds towards this very special cause.

On a more personal note
24 Jul 2026When I started this journey, my goal was to complete a 75-hour water fast. I actually missed my planned time to eat, and it gave me an idea.
Since we’ve already doubled my fundraising goal, why not double my water fasting goal too?
The Great Cycle Challenge isn’t just about raising money to fight kids’ cancer—it’s become one of the greatest sources of motivation in my life. Every donation, every encouraging word, and every sponsor reminds me why I keep pushing myself beyond what I thought was possible.
This challenge is for the kids. They fight every day, so I can certainly push myself a little further.
Thank you all for believing in me and supporting this journey. Let’s keep the momentum going and see just how far we can take this together. 💛🚴

Late night/Early morning thoughts…
22 Jul 2026Now this is getting serious… seriously unbelievable! 🎉
We are officially at $1,982 raised!
That means we’ve crushed the original $1,000 goal by $982! 👏👏👏
Do you hear that? That’s the sound of applause… and it’s all because of YOU.
To every gracious, generous sponsor—thank you. Some gave out of love, some gave because of the promotion, and others simply gave what their hearts desired. No matter the reason, every single donation brings us one step closer in the fight against kids’ cancer.
I truly appreciate each and every one of you for coming together and joining me on this incredible 2026 Great Cycle Challenge journey. Your support means more than words can express.
Be sure to keep reading my blog as this journey continues. There are still plenty of miles to ride, stories to share, and lives to impact.
While I’m incredibly proud to say we’ve nearly doubled the original goal… we’re not done yet!
You can still sponsor me.
Now it’s time to call on my heavy hitters with those deep pockets! 😁 We’ve almost doubled the goal… so let’s aim even higher.
Let’s shoot for the sky. Let’s triple it.

Breakfast for champions Chick-fil-A
17 Jul 2026Some exciting news! 💙🚴♂️
When I signed up for the 2026 Great Cycle Challenge, I set a fundraising goal of $1,000 to help fight kids’ cancer. Today, I’m incredibly humbled and proud to say we’re almost at double that goal!
Life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way, and because of some unforeseen circumstances, I honestly don’t know if I’ll be able to complete my original mileage goal this year. While that’s difficult to accept, one thing fills my heart with gratitude: together, we’ve already surpassed the mission I set out to accomplish by raising funds for children and families battling cancer.
To everyone who has donated, shared my journey, encouraged me, or simply believed in this cause—thank you. Your generosity has reminded me that this challenge has always been about more than the miles on my bike. It’s about bringing hope to kids who are facing the toughest ride of their lives.
No matter what happens with my mileage, I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together. You’ve helped prove that compassion, kindness, and community can make an incredible difference.
And if you’ve been thinking about sponsoring me… there’s still plenty of time to join this 2026 journey. Every donation, no matter the size, helps continue the fight against kids’ cancer.
Hint hint… 😁 Let’s keep this momentum rolling and make an even bigger impact together! 💙🎗️🚴♂️

Just a few late night thoughts
15 Jul 2026Cycling has a funny way of testing not just your legs, but your mind.
You’re grinding up a steep hill, every pedal stroke feels heavier than the last. Your lungs are burning, your heart is pounding, and you start wondering if you’re even going to make it. Then, out of nowhere, someone on an e-bike glides effortlessly past you, barely breaking a sweat. For a split second, it’s discouraging. You question yourself and wonder why you’re working so hard when they made it look so easy.
But then something changes.
You stop focusing on their ride and remember why you’re on yours. This isn’t their challenge—it’s yours. You dig deeper than your tired legs. You find that core motivation that got you on the bike in the first place. Every painful pedal stroke becomes proof that you’re stronger than the voice telling you to quit.
By the time you crest the hill, you realize the greatest victory wasn’t beating anyone else—it was refusing to give up on yourself.
And with that new fire burning inside, you drop into the next stretch, find another gear, and blast all the way to the finish line.
Because the real power isn’t in having electric assistance—it’s in discovering the strength that was inside you all along.

GCC merch is in and it’s amazing!🤩
7 Jul 2026I’m beyond excited because my Great Cycle Challenge merch finally came in! 🤩🚴♂️
The new shirt looks amazing, and I have to say, I’m loving the new color! Orange has always been one of my favorite colors, so this year’s design is right up my alley. 🧡
I also got to personalize my new bike by adding the awesome Great Cycle Challenge stickers, and it makes me even more motivated to get out there and ride. Every mile I pedal this September is for kids fighting cancer, and I can’t wait to do my part.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me so far. Your encouragement and donations mean the world to me. Let’s keep this momentum going and make a difference together! 💛🎗️ #GreatCycleChallenge #FightKidsCancer #100Miles #RideForACause #OrangeIsMyColor

This year has gone by in a blast, it’s already close to riding month
3 Jul 2026Two months to go until the big starting day—September 1st! 🚴♂️💛
This year, I’ll be riding a dedicated 100 miles to play a small part in a very big mission: helping fight kids’ cancer through the Great Cycle Challenge. Every mile ridden is for the kids and families facing battles far tougher than any ride I’ll ever take.
As I count down the days, I want to take a moment to give a huge THANK YOU to all of my incredible sponsors for 2026. Because of your generosity and support, I’ve not only reached my fundraising goal of $1,000, but we’ve blown right past it and are now over $1,600! WOW! 🤩🎉
Your donations are helping fund life-saving research and support programs for children battling cancer. It truly means the world to me to have so many people standing behind this cause.
September 1st can’t get here soon enough. The excitement is building, and together we’re making a difference—one mile and one donation at a time.
Thank you for believing in this mission and helping me turn 100 miles into something much bigger than a bike ride. 💛🚴♂️🎗️

To make the journey even more exciting, I’ll be riding my new Specialized Diverge Elite bike. Wowza, right? This bike should make completing those 100 miles a breeze!
I’ll be posting updates and sharing the routes I ride along the way. Here we go—another year of moving forward, pushing the pedals, and helping make a difference in the fight against childhood cancer.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support and encourage me on this journey. Let’s ride!
