I'm Riding For
Pierce Gaines

Pierce was diagnosed with Leukemia in August 2019 and has battle and defeated this disease through 9th grade in which he did not get to go the the school & then 10th grade, COVID, turning 16 and now graduating high school where he is now starting the next chapter in his young life. Patty and I have seen him fight this disease with the an amazing attitude. Never complaining or asking why. He has managed to keep his sense of humor through it all. It is by the grace of God, Patty and the great doctors and nurses at the Nemours and Baptist that cancer is now just a memory. The strength and faith he has shown is truly amazing. Our scars are our testimony! It is now our turn to give back to the ones that have gave so much to us and to support the next generation of kids that kicks cancers butt. Please help us in this effort.
My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Our son Pierce was diagnosed with Leukemia and has had to battle this disease throughout his high school years! Patty and I have seen him fight this disease with the best attitude. Never complaining or asking why. It is but for the grace of God and the great doctors and nurses at the Nemours and Baptist that he has made it through his treatment and is now cancer free!!
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help others kids like Pierce and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Thank you.
