My Story
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️
As we start September, I am participating in the Great Cycle Challenge to raise awareness about childhood cancers, honor children and families affected by cancer, remember those who have passed away, and supporting research for better treatments and cures.
This ride is personal for me.
While our family’s journey has not been a childhood cancer diagnosis, we have been deeply touched by the battle. We’ve experienced the fear, uncertainty, strength, and hope that come with facing a serious diagnosis and aggressive, cancer-like treatment. It has given us a firsthand glimpse into just how incredibly strong these children and their families have to be.
That’s why this September, I’m participating in the Great Cycle Challenge to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. I’m riding for the children who are fighting, the survivors who continue to inspire us, the families who never stop fighting alongside their children, and the precious lives lost far too soon.
I encourage any and all of my friends who are able to sign up and join the cause this month as well. If you or someone you know has been touched by cancer, this is a great way to support and honor them. You can set your own individual goals. Even as little as a mile a day.
Every mile is for a child. Every dollar helps. And every step toward better treatments and a cure matters.
