My son, Thomas, was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma at age 2-1/2. The tumor was behind his right eye and required a treatment combination of radiation to his head and many months of chemotherapy. Thomas' treatment resulted in loss of sight in both eyes along with many other complications too long to list.

At age 8, Thomas' cancer returned with a vengeance which required more chemotherapy. Sadly, the treatment wasn't effective and we were told that there were no more options to fight his disease. At age 9, Thomas went to heaven.

Thomas was a brave warrior who endured more than most people will in a lifetime. However, he never complained and he loved life!
