This September, for the 9th year in a row, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! Great Cycle Challenge started in 2015, and after just 10 years, the event has grown to become one of the biggest cycling events in the United States. In 10 years, our community of riders from all 50 states has ridden a total of 33,817,103 miles, and together we’ve raised $72,646.876 in support of research to develop better treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer. While I did not participate in 2015, in 8 years, I have ridden 2,754 miles, while family, friends, and neighbors have helped me to raise $23,090.70 for the Children's Cancer Research Fund. This year, my mileage goal is 400 miles, and my financial goal is $6,910.00 to reach $30,000 raised in over the 9 years I've been a participant. Will you help me reach my financial goal? Cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Children should be living life, not fighting for it.

Therefore, I am raising funds through my challenge to help these children and support the Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
