As many of my friends know, my grandson, Tyler Luedtke, lost his battle to Neuroblastoma in October of 2006, at just 5 years old. Tyler spent a year in Seattle at Children's Hospital. His treatment (at just 2 to 3 years old) included a major surgery to remove a large tumor, followed by chemotherapy, radiation and a stem cell transplant. He wasn't able to leave the hospital for a year. Yet, through it all, he often had an incredible great sense of humor, an amazing big smile, and an infectious laugh. One of his biggest wishes was to go to school, which he achieved, while simultaneously receiving out-patient care in the Tri-Cities, WA. He was able to go to preschool and start kindergarten. He made friends with everyone he met and became an inspiration to so many people! I know he would have achieved all of his goals and done many great things in his life! My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

    Hi family, friends and all other supporters! I'm cycling this month to raise money to fight kids cancer! Today is the halfway point and I've ridden more than half of the miles I've pledged to ride and I've raised more than half of my $500 goal! If I reach them earlier than the 30th, I will keep going!
