My Cousin Javier

Three years ago, I lost my Grandpa who fought. He was the light of every room, always bringing laughter, love, and happiness to everyone around him. Watching someone I loved so deeply go through that battle changed me forever. His memory continues to be a source of strength and motivation for me. Today, my family is facing another difficult fight. My cousin Javier has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and my heart aches watching his wife, kids and grand kids go thru this journey. But I don't want this ride to be about fear or giving up. I want it to be about hope. I’m riding for Javier—to remind him that he is surrounded by people who love him, believe in him, and will stand beside him through this fight. I’m riding for my Grandpa, whose strength and memory inspire me to keep moving forward. And I’m riding for all the families who have heard the words “you have cancer” and know the pain and uncertainty that follows. Every mile I ride will carry a little piece of their story. Every mile will be for hope, for strength, and for the belief that together we can make a difference. Javier, this ride is for you. ❤️ Keep fighting. Keep believing. Keep hoping. For Grandpa.
