My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

    Well had the first set back of the challenge,( usually it's a flat tire like previous years) the plastic arm on my phone holder broke while I was riding tonight and the phone hit the ground, lucky for me I was riding around the field in front of the shop here so the phone landed in the grass and didn't break but had to ride the rest of the night with the phone in my pocket.

    so about half way into the ride tonight over at Mercer Meadows we got a brief rain shower and when the phone gets wet it acts weird apps shutting off, so the map my ride app quit about half way point so had to restart another ride that's why there is two tonight but it was actually one ride , but we got an awesome rainbow over there

    so been keeping my eye on the weather and it looks like the next rainy day will be Saturday, so my plan is to try and ride everyday and then maybe rest on this Saturday, but plans can change

    So about 4 hours before starting the ride I was cutting the grass with a push mower and ran over an in ground bee hive and they attacked my right calf/ankle with about 6 stings leg swelled up could barely walk, so took an Advil two hours before riding and it felt a little better, so like to thank Advil, just remember these kids can't just pop an Advil so they need our help so please think of donating to the cause
