My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! This year will be my sixth year participating and raising funds.
Ironically my first-year riding in 2021, I signed up for this challenge and then about 6 weeks prior to the start, I myself was unexpectedly diagnosed with lymphoma. It was incredibly difficult to finish this as I was being treated, but I carried on thinking of how strong I needed to be and how much stronger the kids are that this ride represents. I will always ride as this means so much more to me now.
Cancer is a very ugly disease for anyone, but truly heartbreaking when thinking that it happens to innocent children who do not deserve this. I know now firsthand how difficult this really is.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

1 Oct 2026All, thank you again for another successful season for raising awareness and funds to support children’s cancer research! It was a milestone year fundraising our highest year in dollars as well as crossing the $10,000 legacy mark. I’m so proud of our accomplishments together and it isn’t possible without support and repeat support from great friends and family. I greatly appreciate everyone who supported and help spread the word of what we’re doing. I hope we can grow this even further next year as our brave children need all of our efforts to make a difference for them and their families.
