I started this challenge 8 years ago because a friend challenging me. Well, since then GCC has changed my life for the greater good of all children fighting this horrible life-threatening disease. This year my father was diagnosed which when it hits home just reminds you that much more of what a horrible disease this is and that nobody deserves to have to live fighting it, so this year I am dedicating my ride to him and all the kids!!! My Story

I am so very proud to have hit the 9th year milestone and 5th year as a GCC Champion in supporting the Great Cycle Challenge to fight childhood cancer. The reward of knowing that I have given hope of a brighter future for these boys and girls is a dream come true.

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from this disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So, I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
