12 years ago, I was diagnosed with a grade 2 astrocytoma.

I began treatments with 6 weeks of radiation, and when I finished that I went onto 3 months of Temodar at home. I had a follow up scan and the the tumor had grown. My Oncologist had suggested trying a drug called Avastin. I was on Avastin for a total of 36 months. At that point, the tumor had grown again and they had no further treatments.

We had a meeting and they gave me 3 options, the First 2 sucked and I said no way. The 3rd was to do nothing and take my chances. The prognosis for option 3 was 4 months. That was 9 years ago and many miles on my bike. RIDE TO LIVE, LIVE TO RIDE
