My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer for the 8th consecutive year!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.

Surgery recovery is slow going
6 Sep 2025As most of you who know me, I'm still recovering from collarbone surgery from my crash on August 2, 2025. A jogger turned and stepped directly into my path as I was doing sprints at almost 30 mph injuring both of us. Thankfully my helmet helped save me from something worse, but I still ended up breaking my clavicle. It had about a 5cm (2") overlapping of the bone requiring surgery to set it while also adding a titanium plate and screws.
Since the accident I've tried riding with varying degrees of success and pain. My last doctor's appointment had the doctor telling me I'm not to ride outdoors until after my race on October 5th. I'm devastated by this, but at least he gave me the clearance to ride indoors.
I'm hoping my shoulder begins to heal up quickly because I don't enjoy indoor training. Once the injury begins feeling better, I will be back outside on my bike and I hope it's before the end of this year's GCC and my next race.
