My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

I have been involved with the Great Cycle Challenge since its inception.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support the Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

    This year's challenge has presented many different obstacles that will take some getting used to. A different location each day, doesn't always lend itself to being conducive for riding. Changes are built by excuses. Many miles to go.

    Traveling begins, but I'm thankful to have my portable bike in tow. I was in the Roanoke area, so the Lick Run Greenway trail added the groundwork for my ride. The beautiful surroundings reminded me how fortunate I am to have my health and the life I have. It was fuel for me to keep pedaling to help this world become cancer free.

    I was up early and out to do a morning ride along Lake Shore Blvd. The ride almost helped me relax and this one was special. It was opening day and I was at home, the sun was out and the weather was perfect.
