If you’ve been following my updates for this Great Cycle Challenge, I’m thrilled to let you know that I rode 12.7 miles today on the Paulinskill trail from Hainesburg to Columbia and then up to the Blairstown glider port and back which gives me a total of 161 miles this month. So I exceeded my goal of biking 150 miles in September. Very close to achieving my donation target of $1000, with only $24 to go.
26.1 miles on the Lehigh Gorge trail today. What a fabulous ride!! ONE mile left to complete my 150 mile goal!!! I’ll finish tomorrow with a ride on the Paulinskill or Columbia Trail
123 miles under the tires this month, only 27 more to go to reach my target of 150 miles. 15.4 miles today along my local trail portion of the Paulinskill. Unfortunately a shorter ride than I’d hoped due to trees down across the trail (which I reported).
Another 12.5 miles under the tires today, bringing my total for this month to 107 miles. 43 to go to make my target 150!!! Such a gorgeous day, so since I had an errand in Newton this morning, I figured I’d take the bike and try riding the Paulinskill Trail from the Warbasse Junction Trail entrance. Headed south, thinking I’d make a loop with the Great Valley Trail and Sussex Trail back to Warbasse, but the GV trail was just too rough and overgrown, so back tracked to the Paulinskil and continued south until the Swartswood Rd intersection and turned around at that point. Very pretty trail.
Tried a new trail today, 14.2 miles round trip. West Pen Argyl PA to Stokertown PA. Most of it paved and shaded. The mile at the Pen Argyl trail head was steep gravel. The paved part was a bit of a bone shaker but a gorgeous day.
