Ever since I was a child, I loved my bike. The first thing I did when I woke up was get my bike from the lawn and go out riding and when I saw the light on the post coming on, it was getting dark, I knew it was time to ride back home. Later on my bike, save me from so many inner demons as it would take me away from the yelling and the problems and I could go far far away from it. today my bike doesn’t take me away from the problems. It helps me deal the problems that life is throwing at me. As I take my bike out, I feel one with nature and I feel closer to God than I do in any church or cathedral. Now my bike and I can help others. As a teacher of more than 30 years, I’ve seen my share of good and hard times. Sadly, I’ve seen some my students succumb to cancer. Especially one young lady, whose daughter died from cancer and I ride in her memory . My wife who is also a teacher has had students die from this disease. I remember a particular, majestic young lady who fought so hard but cancer claimed another victim. So I ride in their memory I ride to make a difference I ride to give I ride for those children who never got to get on the bike who are going through chemo who are getting needles every day and going through the pain I want to be their champion and I want to do my part so that we can end this disease and not see another family torn apart by cancer as I’ve witnessed. So for my former student I ride for your daughter I hope I make her proud so if anyone is wondering why I ride I ride for my health for my sanityfor spiritual uplifting, but more than anything I ride to make a difference. And with your help we can make that difference let’s keep on rolling people let’s get cancer’s butt.

    Life is a beautiful ride.
