As September comes to a close and the GCC ride ends, we are having glorious weather here in West Tennessee. Nothing like being out on a bicycle way out in the country alone with the beauty of God's creation! I'm hoping to reach both of my goals. I know I can get to the "200 miles ridden mark," but the $4000 goal is going to be more difficult. If you want to chip in, go for it! And thanks so much to all those who donated, encouraged, or helped with this effort in any way!

You wonderful, generous people have helped me slam my $ goal already, so I raised it from $3,000 to $4,000! That's not a tribute to me - it is a tribute to all you people who have made contributions! Thank you all! Only $552 left to go! This train is rolling! Get on board and let's do this thing!

What? No electricity?

Just to update, in my story above I said I would be aided occasionally by an electric assist bike. HA!! Unfortunately, my electric assist bike has not yet been shipped, so I'm going to be riding on pure muscle strength this month. At first that was a daunting thought, considering my surgery and the fact that I haven't been on a bike in 2 years, but I've already ridden over 70 miles and it has been a breeze. That heart surgery stuff really worked! If Aaron can handle radiation, I can handle pedaling!
