Reached 391 mikes today with a nice ride at the VA in Bay Pines. Yesterday at Millenium Park and the Pinellas Trail in Seminole. Found out today top 100 nationally in the Spin Bike Challenge.. looks good for 400 miles as my new goal..
Reached 300 miles today with two rides.. actually 310 .. now looking for 350 miles as a goal.. feeling pretty good so far.
Almost half way and reached 222 miles today. Might have to increase my mileage goal? Kick Cancer’s Butt Day last Wednesday and the most generous donation by my dear sister of the heart, Laurie Winter resulted in matching funds of $202!!! My total donations are now over $600 and more than double the original goal.. reached GUARDIAN status.. thank you all 😊👍♥️
Reached 100 + miles in the first week of the 2025 Challenge just like last year when i was cycling in Maine. Too hot and humid for long rides here in Florida this time of year but the Spin Bike Challenge is a great alternative!!
Interesting that i reached 80 miles in 5 days two years in a row.. just noticed this on my FB memory post on this date last year..
Three days and 57 miles..Spin Bike Challenge rides before dawn and out on the roads before it gets too hot.. it’s still pretty uncomfortable here in Florida by 10 o’clock. Some interesting things on my rides around Madeira Beach.. like the igloo house, and lobster mailbox.. kind of nice at Boca Ciega Bay and the sunrises are great!!
I’m back for my 11th Great Cycle Challenge USA come September. Probably riding in Florida instead of Maine but that’s ok.. riding again to honor our niece Kelly and nephew Seany and in memory of a former student at Carle Place HS Leanne Kozak.
I also created a team Road Warriors for Kids Cancer just in case any friends want to join me.
