This will be the fourth year I've participated in the Hreat Cycle Challenge (GCC). I do it for three reasons.
1) Selfishly- I had a malignant tumor removed in 1981. To me, I wasn't a child, but I benefited from well trained dedicated cancer specialists. Without research, I might not be here.
2) My friend and hero, Jim Cunningham started riding in this program over a decade ago, while fighting cancer himself. I joined his team: Team Honeylamb. Unfortunately Jim succumbed to this evil disease a couple of years ago.
3) For the kids. Children aren't supposed to get sick. They should not have to fight a life or death battle before going to college.
I fight because I can and I want to help. Anyway I can.
