Sawyer Kuljis

🚴‍♂️ This September, I’m riding in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer—and I’m doing it in memory of someone incredibly special: Sawyer Kuljis. Sawyer was diagnosed with stage 4 Childhood Extracranial Germ Cell Cancer at just 16 years old in March 2024. This rare and aggressive cancer spread rapidly to his brain, liver, abdomen, lungs, and sternum. He bravely endured 8 months of chemotherapy and began a stem cell transplant in December. Sadly, Sawyer lost his courageous battle on January 7, 2025. Before his diagnosis, Sawyer was full of life—he loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his friends and family. His spirit, strength, and smile touched everyone who knew him. I’m riding to honor Sawyer’s memory and to help fund research that gives other kids a fighting chance. Every mile I ride and every dollar raised brings us closer to a cure. This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
