My Story
This month - September- marks my 8th year riding in the Great Cycle Challenge and raising funds to fight childhood cancer. As a cancer survivor myself, this cause and the fight against cancer are especially close to my heart.
I ride in memory of those we have lost, in honor of those who have fought and won, and for those who are still fighting today. My hope is simple—that continued research will bring better treatments, more cures, and someday an end to this horrible disease.
💛 If you are considering donating, please watch for my upcoming MATCH DAY announcement. On that special day, an anonymous donor will match donations up to a designated amount, which means your gift can potentially DOUBLE and make an even greater impact. I’ll share the date as soon as it is announced.
Eight years of riding, raising funds, remembering, and hoping for a future where no child or family has to face cancer. ❤️
Thank you for supporting this cause and the kids we ride for.

This Is Why We Ride ❤️ — Meet 3-Year-Old Kai
11 Sep 2026I wanted to share a little update from the Great Cycle Challenge about one of the kiddos we’re riding for. ❤️
Meet Kai. He is just 3 years old and has been fighting neuroblastoma since December 2025.
Last week, this brave little guy underwent his second bone marrow transplant. His care team is still determining what comes next, which may include radiation. The encouraging news is that his scans showed his cancer is mostly gone, although there are still some questionable spots behind his eyes that doctors are watching.
And through all of this…look at that smile.
This little guy is just one of the many reasons we keep pedaling.
Behind all those miles and fundraising numbers are the kids and the families going through something they should ever have to face.
Kids like Kai. ❤️
This is why we ride.
This is why we keep going. 🚴♀️
Let’s keep fighting for Kai and ALL the kiddos battling childhood cancer. 💪❤️

$1.69 MILLION TO HELP KIDS FIGHT CANCER 🔥
10 Sep 2026WOW—WHAT A MATCH DAY! ❤️🚴♀️
What a day!! First and foremost, a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who donated, shared, encouraged and helped make Match Day such an incredible success for these kids! ❤️
Across the Great Cycle Challenge, an unbelievable $1,690,456 was raised in ONE DAY to fight childhood cancer! The response was so incredible that we blew right through the entire $1.4 million matching pool. Because donations exceeded the available match, Match Day donations received an 82% match.
$1.69 MILLION in 24 hours for these kids. Now THAT is something to celebrate!
And you all did a little blasting past goals over on my page, too! I started Match Day with roughly $88 raised, and by the end of the day, with your donations and the matching funds added, my page had grown to approximately $2,535!
You didn’t just help me reach the fundraising goal I set for this year’s ride—you helped me BLAST right past it! 🚴♀️🔥 I can’t thank you enough.
I always try to ride BIG for the kids on Match Day, and yesterday I pedaled out 38 indoor miles. I had hoped to pedal out a few more, but after so many miles sitting on that indoor cycle, my backside and I agreed we were DONE. 😊
There is a reason I try to push a little harder on this particular day…
When the miles get long and my legs get tired, I remind myself that whatever I’m pushing through on that bike doesn’t begin to compare with what these kids are asked to push through in their fight against cancer.
I get to stop.
I get to climb off the bike.
They don’t get to simply climb off their ride and be finished.
So I ride. ❤️
Those miles brought me to just over 100 miles so far for September, and there are plenty more to come! I’m working toward my 300-mile goal this month—and hopefully I’ll pedal right past that one too. 🚴♀️
But the biggest number from yesterday isn’t my mileage or even the amount on my fundraising page.
It’s $1,690,456.
That’s what thousands of riders, donors, families, friends and supporters accomplished together in ONE DAY for kids fighting cancer.
For the kids fighting today.
For those who have beaten it.
For the beautiful little lives we’ve lost.
And for the families and friends standing beside them every step of the way.
Cancer has touched so many of our lives, and having faced it myself only deepens what this ride means to me. These miles are for the kids—for the children fighting today, the survivors, the precious little lives lost far too soon, and all the friends and families whose lives have been touched by cancer.
Yesterday, all of YOU rallied around them.
And that is what this ride is all about.
Thank you for donating. Thank you for cheering. Thank you for helping me blast past my goal. And most importantly, thank you for showing up for these kids.
Now…back to those other 200 miles! 🚴♀️
Tomorrow. 😊
