Hi, I’m Theresa. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma in May 2016. My treatment plan included chemo, a double mastectomy and radiation. When I went through chemo they found a brain tumor (unrelated to the cancer). In May 2018 I went through 3 brain surgeries in 3 weeks. I chose to make it an adventure and have fun with it. One of the differences between having cancer and not, is that cancer makes one address mortality issues earlier and “get real” with life. Cancer has given me a second chance to finally live the life I want to live and stop trying to please others. I am now taking this time to reconnect with myself and focus on what makes me happy.
