My Story

Why I’m Riding:

This summer, I made a simple change—I started riding my bike more often. What began as a way to get outside and move turned into something much deeper. I’ve come to really love it. Riding has given me the chance to slow down and appreciate the little things I often miss in the rush of daily life—the smell of flowers as I pass them by, the sound of birds in the trees, the feeling of fresh air on my face, and the breathtaking beauty of sunsets and sunrises.

It’s become more than just exercise. It’s a reminder that there is joy in the small details, peace in the rhythm of the pedals, and strength in the consistency of showing up for myself.

A friend who knew I’d been biking more often shared this September Cycle Challenge with me, and it felt like the perfect next step. Not only does it keep me moving forward in something I’ve grown to love, but it also gives me the chance to ride for a purpose far greater than myself.

I’m riding to raise money for childhood cancer research. Childhood cancer impacts so many families, and it is devastating to think of the children and parents facing that battle every single day. Right now, research grants and funding are being cut, leaving huge gaps in the progress we need to make. That’s where challenges like this come in. It’s up to us—as a commun

Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer so more kids can continue to ride their bikes.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

Thank you.
