My Story
This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
In the past, I rode for Baby Elena and donors came through for me. She fought the battle and WON! This year, I'm riding for someone very close to my brother, Gary. His name is Zy. Zy is merely 4 years old and is battling stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma.
He was diagnosed at age 2 and has gone through a rigorous treatment plan; including, chemotherapy, MIBG therapy, tumor resection surgery, 2 bone marrow transplants, radiation, and immunotherapy. And he's 4 years old! He is living with complications of these treatments, including hearing loss and heart failure. Through all of this, he maintains that sweet childhood innocence. He is a happy, loving boy who enjoys basketball and baseball. He's a fighter. But right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
