I'm Riding For

Edwin Morales

Edwin Morales is a good friend of mine and former Marquette Rugby Football Club President whom we lost to cancer in 2019. Edwin was always a hard working, charitable man who focused on helping others through their struggles as a way to help himself through his own. Edwin coordinated an annual fundraiser around Christmas time to collect toys for children undergoing treatment at a hospital in California where he had also received treatments. Edwin was instrumental in keeping the MURFC together during difficult times throughout his time as Club President. I have chosen to dye my hair in memory of Edwin while I ride for a charitable cause similar to what he has supported in the past.

My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
