18 Sep 2026Hi Everybody 👋
Tracking my riding I see that I can do 4 days in a row before I need to take 1 off. The 4th day h a s to be an easy spin to keep the legs loose.
In my Triathlon days, age 24 to 35, I would train 4 days M-Th.
Then Friday off. Saturday was long bike day plus swimming. Sunday was long run day with a short ride afterwards. Mondays were kind of an active rest day. I would swim only on Mondays.
The pacemaker surgery has changed my life. I can walk without having to stop for a
breath about every 15feet. My body feels really really good. Sure glad that they finally figured out what was wrong with me. It's great to be alive with options again.
Love ya

3rd Ride
16 Sep 2026Miss riding outside 😩 but I am getting the time in on the recumbent.
This is my outside trike. I pulled off the fenders after one bracket fell off of the right one. I threw the chain once while riding last year so I pulled off the chain guard. The chain wrapped around the crank and I had trouble getting it back on. I'm going to try and ride outside by the last day. I miss it!

Late Start 9/11 this year.
29 Aug 2026Just wanted to let everyone know that I won't be able to start riding till the 11th. Having surgery on the 10th to get a pacemaker. I'm hoping that it only knocks me down for a day. That's the plan anyways. My heart rate has been hovering around 38-42bpm. Makes it a little hard to stand up and do much. But this cause is something that means a lot to me. I'll be out there as soon as possible.
