I'm Riding For
Joyce, Karen and for all the children who have it.
My Story
This September, for the first time I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! I am thankful to have a year and a month behind me from when I had surgery on my broken leg requiring surgery with a plate and screws. I am so thankful for the medical people and research that has allowed me to have a second chance. I am thankful to get the privilege to ride this year. My amazing big sister inspired me to do it.
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
My sweet precious Mother had cancer two times and thankfully fully recovered with the help of cancer research. medical treatments, great medical workers and by God's grace. The medical people teamwork with research can and do really makes a difference. Also I have had two precious piano and violin students who had cancer who didn't do so well. Mathew and Karen have suffered a lot from it. My mother suffered much from it too. It hurts to see people you love suffer from it. I would love for help to be there for those suffering to be made well and for their loving families to be encouraged by their better health.
Please support these poor children by giving them hope and making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve. Your support will change little lives.
Since 1981, this organization has contributed over $233 million to research, support programs for children and families, and awareness and education outreach. In our January 1 to December 31, 2022 fiscal year, 81 percent of funds raised went directly to these program services areas.
Thank you.

Cottonbelt Trail, September 1 the kickoff ride!
2 Sep 2025September 1 started writing and riding š for the cancer research organization for children. My son Josh and granddaughter Amelia and I all went riding up and down the Cottonbelt trail near Waco. It was a nice cloudy morning with a possibility of some rain. So it was comfortable and we couldnāt ride too long with the heavy clouds. It sure was beautiful! Enjoy the outdoors!
