My Story

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week. My mother fought this fight and participated in several cutting edge treatment programs that have progressed our collective success in having effective treatment programs available for adults and for kids.

As noted above, 38 children die of cancer each week, and to think back when mom was in treatment centers, she always made it a priority to be positive and uplifting when children or young adults were in the room receiving their treatments. While mom did not say these exact words "Kids should be living life, not fighting for it", her dedication to being a beacon of positivity lives up to these choice of words. THANK YOU MOM!

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
